Carbon monoxide detectors donated in Princess Anne

In an effort to be more proactive on the dangers of carbon monoxide poisoning, detectors were installed in Princess Anne homes Monday.

The detectors were donated free of charge by the Princess Anne Volunteer Fire Department.

Officials say they had enough for 102 homes.

The detectors read levels of carbon monoxide to lower risk of accidental poisoning.

According to fire Chief Bob Wells, it’s extremely important that each home have one.

“This is probably the way to get into the community, help the community. This is probably the way to do it.” Says Chief Wells.

Chief Wells says they will be be going door-to-door to check detectors in October.
