Caesar Rodney Softball Rallies To The Next Round Of The State Tournament

The Caesar Rodney girls softball team was at home taking on Woodbridge in a state tournament showdown.

The Riders got things going early in the game and their bats were on fire. Caesar Rodney managed to score seven unanswered runs in just two innings – hitting the ball and capitalizing on errors made by the Blue Raiders defense. However, it would not be long before Woodbridge jumped on the bandwagon and got their bats moving as well. The Blue Raiders managed to score three runs in the top of the third inning, but the Riders were able to hold on for the win, 11-4.

Caesar Rodney advances to the next round of the state tournament – the Riders will be on the road taking on number three seed, Caravel, at 4:00 pm on Tuesday.
