Bucs avenge only regular season loss, claw Wildcats to take south title

The Milford Buccaneers avenged last week’s loss, their only one of the season, defeating the Delmar Wildcats by a score of 7-5 in Legends Stadium in Lewes, capturing the Henlopen South championship.

Matt Viramontes had a hat-trick to lead the Buccaneers, while Zach Heesh added two goals. Ring Lardener and Dallas Rhodes also posted one goal a piece. Goalkeeper Clay Stevenson had 14 saves in the win.

Milford (14-1) and Delmar (8-6) both await their seeds in the DIAA Division II playoffs.
