“Bras For A Cause” reveal ceremony held at the Centre at Salisbury

Women Supporting Women has been providing assistance and support for people dealing with breast cancer for 22 years, and it’s the time of the year again when they, in rather literal fashion, support the ladies.

The Bras For A Cause reveal ceremony was today and various teams from local shops and organizations teamed up to create their very own one-of-a-kind bra. Some of the bra themes this year included the Wizard of Braz, Alice in Wonderbra, the Little Mermaid Bra and a Doctor Seuss bra.

Executive director of Women Supporting Women, Sue Revelle, says this event is aimed bringing in funding and increasing breast cancer awareness in a fun way.

Revelle tells 47 ABC, “Everything is kind of scary and sad around breast cancer and most venues and here we get something where you get to have fun and still learn about breast cancer. This year has been exceptional with the creativity.”

You can vote on your favorites by donating in its name and you can do so in person at the Centre at Salisbury or online at womensupportingwomen.org. The winner will be revealed on June 2nd and the top prize gets a hand crafted, pink bra-themed trophy.
