Bennett pitches one-hitter, Colonels finish perfect

Junior pitcher Jaret Bennett pitched a complete game, one-hitter, as the Colonel Richardson baseball team completed an undefeated regular season, defeating Cambridge 8-0.

After getting two runs in the first, Jake Hicks’ RBI single made it 3-0 thru two innings. The Colonels added three in the 6th, including a 2 out, 2 RBI single that scored Matt Elliott and Derek Schuler.

Colonel will now compete in the Bayside title game, where they will face either Parkside or Stephen Decatur.
