After peaceful protest, Winfield Fisher’s family still fights for justice

After a peaceful “die-in and justice vigil” in downtown Salisbury last night, residents are still fighting for justice.
About fifty people gathered last night to mourn the death of Freddie Gray, a Baltimore man who went into a coma and died in police custody, and Winfield Fisher, a Salisbury man shot and killed by an officer in March 2014 outside the Maryland State Police Salisbury Barracks.
During a drug investigation in Fisher’s car, he reportedly pinned the trooper to the car and dragged him before the officer fired.
Fisher’s mother, Mildred, tells 47 ABC, her family is thankful the event stayed civil but they are still hoping for more answers in their son’s death and the moments before the drug investigation.
She is asking anyone who may have seen the incident by the barracks to come forward.
