Warriors Rally Past Colonels In Bayside North Showdown

The Easton High School softball team played host to Colonel Richardson Tuesday afternoon for Senior Day, and overcame a 4-2 late-game deficit to take a 5-4 decision. With the victory, the Warriors improve to 13-2 for the season, while the Colonels slip to 11-5.

It was a pitching dual through the first three innings, seeing no runners cross home plate. Easton’s Savannah Miles took the mound for the full seven-inning stretch, waving 11 batters for the game. Colonel’s Gabby Galante finished with four strikeouts for the game.

Miles also went 2-for-2 at the plate, including a double, while Montana Dye and Slaughenhoupt both went 2-for-4 with doubles as well. For Colonel, Jasmine Brooks registered two doubles, while Morgan Willoughby went 3-for-4 from the plate with a double.

The Warriors travel to Saint Michaels for their next game, while the Colonels head home to face Cambridge. Both games are set for 4 p.m., on Thursday.
