UPDATE: Judge dismisses sexual solicitation charge for Weatherholtz

An attorney for a West Ocean City businessman, made an appearance in Worcester County Circuit Court today, to address the motions for his client’s child sex abuse charges.

Fifty five-year-old David Weatherholtz of Berlin, and owner of OC Jamboree, had a criminal motions hearing this morning. A judge granted a motion to dismiss the sexual solicitation of a minor charge, and his other charges will be addressed at his May 12th trial date.

The hearing comes less than two weeks after Weatherholtz was federally indicted on child pornography and solicitation charges.

According to the Worcester County Bureau of Investigation, one of the victims who came forward claims the crime happened several years ago, when the accuser was a minor and his parents reportedly hired Weatherholtz as a music teacher.
