Suspect sought after defrauding an elderly woman

Delaware State Police troopers seek public assistance in attempting to identify a suspect who allegedly defrauded and elderly woman. Police say the suspect took the 87-year-old victim to the Camden Wal-Mart on April 20, 2015, then proceeded to make a small purchase in order to receive cash back from the woman’s personal check.
Police say the suspect also took the victim to a Cheswold Wal-Mart on the same day, and obtained cash back off of another personal check. Reports say a female friend of the victim who oversees her personal affairs, noticed the transactions, and the victim informed her that she may have given someone she wasn’t familiar with money.
Police say the suspect is a black female with brown hair, wearing a blue jacket and gray pants walking into the Camden Wal-Mart with the victim. Troopers say the suspect may be driving a silver sedan.
Police ask anyone with information to contact Corporal K. Baker at 302-697-4454 ext. 623.
