SU Women’s Lacrosse Advances to CAC Championship
The Salisbury University campus was busy with Capital Athletic Conference semi-finals games for the both of the men’s and women’s lacrosse teams. The SU women’s team was taking on the number five seed, Mary Washington, Saturday.
The Gulls came out of the first half with the 4-2 lead over the Eagles. Senior, Bethany Baer, had a hat trick with three goals coming in the first In the second half, SU came out with a goal within the first three minutes to set the pace to take a 5-2 lead. Mary Washington found the back of the net to make it a 5-3 game. However, the Gulls were ready to win this one at home and walked away with the 6-4 victory to head to the finals.
The SU women’s lacrosse team will be playing in the CAC Championship game Saturday, May 2, taking on (no. 2) York.
