SU Men’s Lacrosse Is Headed To The CAC Finals

The SU men’s lacrosse team is on an eight game winning streak and they kept that winning mentality heading into the CAC Tournament Semi-Finals on Saturday afternoon against York.

The Gulls have been on a roll winning their last eight, scoring 148 goals while only allowing 37 goals – quite an impressive ratio for the men’s lacrosse team. The Gulls continued to thrive against a York team who didn’t have a great chance with SU jumping out to an early 5-1 lead in the first quarter. The Gulls would put away another 4 goals in the second quarter to take a 9-2 lead after one half of play.

The second half was the same story for the Gulls as the put away another 7 goals while only giving up 2 goals against the Spartans.

Nathan Blondino led the Gulls scoring 6 goals on the day, followed by Mike Kane (4), and Carson Kalama (3).

One of the last eight games headed to overtime and it was against Frostburg State – who the SU men’s lacrosse team will be facing in the CAC Tournament Championship next Saturday, May 2.
