Somerset Co. school staff “light it up blue”

Woodson Elementary students and staff helped to “light it up blue” in honor of autism awareness.

Over 25 staff members completed a 3.1 mile throughout the Crisfield area on Wednesday. If you were at or near Maryland and Richardson Avenue around 5 p.m., you may have seen a few walkers!

Principal Lilly Welch says, “All participants enjoyed the beautiful weather and a good time was had by all.  Woodson was also able to add many miles towards their Walking Works goals, a  wellness program promoted by the Human Resources Department within the school system to encourage people to exercise.  Woodson’s afterschool program students worked together to make an Autism Awareness sign in support of the walk.”
