Slow start doesnt stop Cape roll Polytech

Junior Matt Lally scored a game-high 5 goals as Cape Henlopen improved to 8-3 defeating Polytech 18-5 Wednesday afternoon.

Michael Hopkins had a hat-trick for Cape, while Kyle Orton, Hank Coveleski, and James Ashby each scored two goals, while Brock Maloomian, Jeb Monigle, Erik Stancofski, and Ross Gillian each scored one goal. For Polytech, Jeremy Armann had a hat-trick, while Jacob Davis and Robert Mason also had goals.

The Vikings have a big matchup on Saturday when they host Salesianum in a rematch of last year’s Division I state championship game. Polytech travels to Middletown on Saturday.
