Shorebirds Take Series Opener Vs. Greensboro

The Delmarva Shorebirds opened up their home series in a big way Thursday night, shutting out Greensboro 4-0. The win improves the Shorebirds to 8-6.
Sebastian Vader would get the start for Delmarva and pitch a gem, scattering 5 hits over 7 innings of work while not allowing a run. The bats would get going for Delmarva after Jomar Reyes belts a stand up RBI double off the wall in left in the 4th. The Birds would then add another after Cam Kneeland would knock one down the third base line for a grounds rule RBI double. The bats remained hot from there as they road them to the win.
John Means will get the start in game two of the series for Delmarva, with first pitch set for 7 pm.
