Shorebirds Split Sunday’s Double-Header

The Shorebirds suited up for a double-header against the Greensboro Grasshoppers on Sunday afternoon.

The first game was all about pitching – both teams went scoreless through eight innings, however, the Grasshoppers opened things up in the ninth inning. The Shorebirds made a couple of fielding errors leading to the first run of the game for the Grasshoppers. Greensboro took the 1-0 lead and would hold on for the win in the bottom of the inning with Josh Hodges striking out the side to end the game.

Game two was a different story for the Shorebirds getting on the board early and shutting out the Grasshoppers. The Shorebirds won the second game of the double-header, 3-0.
