Shorebirds Impress In Season Opener

The Delmarva Shorebirds impressed in their season opener, pounding Greensboro 10-0. The win improves the Shorebirds to 1-0.

Delmarva would waste little time to get to work, plating 7 runs in the bottom of the first highlights by a 3 RBI double from Jonah Heim. The pitching would then take over for the Shorebirds as they would keep the Grasshoppers bats in check all night. Alex Murphy would add an RBI single in the 4th to stretch the lead to 8-0 as the bats never slowed from there for Delmarva.

The Shorebirds return to action Friday night for game 2 of their series against Greensboro.
