Salisbury woman arrested for DUI after driving through resident yards

A Salisbury woman is behind bars after she reportedly drove through several yards, while intoxicated.
On Tuesday morning just after 9:00 AM, Deputies with the Wicomico County Sheriff’s Office say they responded to a vehicle crash on Jackson Road in Salisbury. Once on scene, Investigators found that 28-year-old Allison Brown left a home on Devonshire Drive, before driving into a yard on Devonshire Drive, but she did not stop there. Deputies say she continued driving, going through four more yards before hitting a tree, before finally stopping.
The Deputy reportedly smelled alcohol coming from Brown, leading to a sobriety test, which Brown apparently did not do well on. Brown was subsequently arrested, and while being processed, reportedly refused to take a breath test.
According to the report, because of a previous DUI arrest, Brown is only allowed to drive vehicles that have an Ignition Interlock Device, which won’t let drivers use a vehicle when there is alcohol in their system. Investigators say the vehicle that Brown was driving, did not have this device.
After her arrest, Brown was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, negligent driving, reckless driving, violating license restriction, operating a vehicle without required ignition interlock. She is now behind bars at the Wicomico County Detention Center on a $20,000 bond.
