Reports of drunk man with stroller, leads to child neglect arrest

The Easton Police Department says they have arrested an Easton man for multiple charges, after finding him under the influence with an 18-month-old.
Officers say they responded to Bay Street on Wednesday, for reports of two intoxicated individuals pushing a stroller down the street. Upon arrival, officers say they approached 28-year-old Christopher Howard and another male subject. That’s when officers say they noticed that the stroller had an 18-month-old child in it, who was dirty, with a soiled diaper, and not properly dressed for the weather.
Through a further investigation police reportedly discovered that Howard had CDS paraphernalia, and two different prescription medications in his possession. After he was placed in custody police say they also found several bottles of cologne stolen from the Easton Target. The child was then placed into custody of social services.
Howard is being charged with neglect of a minor, theft less than $1,000 value, removing a prescription label, and possession of CDS paraphernalia. He is being held on a $5,000 bail.
