Reports of armed person near Easton school apparently unfounded

Police in Easton say on Tuesday afternoon, they investigated reports of a young person walking towards a local middle school with what appeared to be a handgun.
Easton Police say around 3:00 PM, a call came in about a juvenile walking along Peachblossom Road, towards Easton Middle School, carrying a handgun. The school had apparently already dismissed for the day, but after-school activities had reportedly started, so they were placed on lockdown.
Police say they then started an extensive search to look for the suspect, whom the witness described as a middle school age boy, dressed in orange, yellow, black, and white.
According to the report, during that search Officers found one middle school student in the area, who later returned to the school, but say they are certain that he was not involved.
After further investigation, Police say the found the complaint to be unfounded. The school was apparently re-opened for after-school activities just after 4:00 PM.
