Probation check in Dover lands one in handcuffs

A Dover man was arrested on Monday, after Police say they found heroin on him.

Dover Police say their Safe Streets Unit arrested 40-year-old Charles Pernot, after they found 2.2 grams of heroin during a probation check. According to the report, Officers checked Pernot’s room at the Days in on North DuPont Highway, and found the drugs, along with a digital scale.

Pernot was charged with possession of heroin, possession of drug paraphernalia, violation of probation, and possession with intent to deliver heroin. He is now behind bars at the James T. Vaughn Correctional Center.
