Police report fatal single car crash in Dorchester

The Easton Barrack of the Maryland State Police say a woman has died after her vehicle overturned on Route 313, Tuesday evening in Dorchester County.

Reports say at about 7:40 PM on Tuesday, Elizabeth Ward was driving north on Route 313 near Dog Kennel Road when her Honda drove off the roadway and overturned several times. Ward, the only passenger in the vehicle, reportedly was ejected during the crash and was pronounced dead on scene. Allegedly, the vehicle came to a stop about 20 feet off the roadway in a field.

The investigation into how this accident occurred is still ongoing.
