Pocomoke Softball Takes Shootout Over WiHi

The Pocomoke softball team traveled to Wicomico High School Friday afternoon and came away with a 15-11 win. The win improves the Warriors to 3-5, while the loss drops the Indians to 4-3. 

The Warriors would score first in the top of the first after a couple over throws allowed a single run to come home. But the Tribe would come fighting right back. After a couple walks with the bases loaded, Meghan Lowe would deliver a RBI single to help her team grab a 5-1 lead. But the Warriors would have a comeback of their own, started with an RBI single from Peyton Becker. That would be followed by an RBI double from Olivia Hancock. The runs kept coming from both teams, but Pocomoke was able to hold on for the win.

Pocomoke returns to action Wednesday when they host Mardela, while WiHi travels to Crisfield on Monday.
