Ocean City PD investigating series of vandalism incidents

Another string of vandalism in Worcester County, has law enforcement working to bring in those responsible.
The Ocean City Police Department says during the early morning hours of April 19, a series of graffiti taggings were found in the area of 16th Street north through 20th Street. A canvas of the area reportedly revealed around 45 graffiti taggings, on both buildings and vehicles, affecting multiple businesses and citizens.
Police say they have identified the suspects, and that they are from outside of the local area. Charges are however reportedly forthcoming.
Anyone who believes they were a victim of vandalism, should contact Detective David Whitmer of the Ocean City Police Department’s Criminal Investigation Division at 410-520-5390 or dwhitmer@oceancitymd.gov. The investigation into the incident is reportedly on-going at this time.
Back in late January, Berlin Police investigated nearly 40 vandalism incidents that happened, totaling nearly $11,000 in damages. Three teens, one from Ocean City and two from Ocean Pines, have since been charged in that incident.
