Milford woman accused of embezzling $75k from local employer

Police in Milford say they have charged a woman, after she embezzled money from her local business.
Milford Police say their Detectives found that 31-year-old Toni Stevens was employed at a local business, and from January 2013 to March 2015 she embezzled about $75,000. According to the report, during that time, Stevens wrote checks out to herself, and used the business credit card and account, to pay her personal bills. She reportedly then tried to hide her actions by changing business records.
After her arrest, Stevens was charged with 10 counts of forgery 2nd degree, 10 counts of falsifying business records, 12 counts of unlawful use of a credit card, and theft greater than $50,000. She was then arraigned, and released after posting bond.
