Milford man charged with assault and burglary

A Milford man is behind bars, after he reportedly broke into a woman’s home, and assaulted her.

Milford Police say on April 13th, Officers arrested 26-year-old Tyrell Beckett, in connection to a domestic dispute that happened two days earlier. According to the report, on April 11th, Police say Beckett broke into a S. Walnut Street home through a window, by climbing through the fire escape.

Once inside, Beckett reportedly got into a fight with the 35-year-old woman who was living inside, which turned physical. Police say Beckett grabbed the woman by her hair, started hitting her in the face, and kicked the victim in her stomach. The woman reportedly suffered minor injuries to her face.

After his arrest, Beckett was charged with burglary 1st degree, assault 3rd degree, and criminal mischief under $1,500. Beckett is now behind bars at Sussex Correctional Institute on a $21,050 cash bond.
