Milford man arrested after reportedly threatening to kill woman

A Milford man was arrested, after he apparently assaulted an elderly woman.

Milford Police say on April 13, 52-year-old Joseph Merix and a 67-year-old woman got into an argument at a Linstone Lane home, during which Merix started punching the woman in the head and face.

Police say during the assault Merix threatened to kill the victim. The woman apparently suffered injuries to her head and face.

Merix was arrested, and charged with assault 2nd degree physical injury to a victim 62-year-old or older, and terroristic threatening. After being arraigned, Merix was sent to Sussex Correctional Institution on a $6,000 bond.
