Inmate wanted after reportedly failing to return from authorized pass

Authorities in Delaware say they are searching for an inmate who failed to return to a correction center, on an authorized pass.

The Delaware Department of Correction says they are looking for 24-year-old Lance Parker, who reportedly didn’t go back to the Morris Community Corrections Center in Dover, after being permitted to leave. Offenders at Community Corrections Centers, which are level 4 facilities, are allowed to leave for work, to look for work, or get treatment, as they are trying to transition back into the community.

Officials say Parker left the facility on Tuesday, on an approved job seeking pass, but never returned. There is now an escape warrant out for his arrest. Parker, who is from Felton, is described as standing 5′ 7″ tall, weighting 190 pounds, with brown eyes and black hair. Parker reportedly has tattoos on his left and right arm.

He was apparently serving time on a violation of probation on an original conviction for rape 3rd degree. Anyone with information about Parker’s whereabouts is asked to contact 1-800-542-9524 or your local police department.
