Indian River moves last day of school
The snow may be long gone, but local school systems are still working to make up the missed days the bad weather caused this winter.
The Indian River Board of Education says at its meeting on Tuesday, the approved changed to the 2014-15 school district calendar. Officials say the last day of school for students will now be Thursday, June 11, and it will be a full day of school.
Friday, June 12 will now be an in-service day for teachers, with their last day being a half day on Monday, June 15. Teachers may begin checking out after 12:00 PM.
