Homicide of 3-year-old under investigation in Laurel

State Police say they are investigating, after the homicide of a toddler in Laurel.

Delaware State Police say on April 17, around 7:15 PM, the Laurel Police Department, Laurel Fire Department, and Sussex County Paramedics responded to a home on Daniel Street, in Carvel Gardens for a reported CPR in progress call that came into the 911 center. DSP say they were later contacted to takeover the investigation.

The body of the three-year-old victim was then turned over to the Division of Forensic Sciences, for an autopsy. The manner of death has reportedly since been ruled a homicide.

The investigation into the homicide is apparently on-going at this time. Details remain limited at this time. Police say they don’t want to compromise the integrity of this investigation.
