Easton bicyclist arrested after reportedly hitting a vehicle

A bicyclist in Easton was arrested on Monday, after he reportedly got irate during an accident investigation.
Easton Police say Officers were called the intersection of Dover Street and Thoroughgood Lane, for an accident involving a bicycle and a vehicle, and some agitation involved.
Once on scene, Police say they were able to calm the situation at first, but then the bicyclist, 56-year-old Joseph Copper, of Easton, became irate with driver, and all the Emergency Personnel on scene. Copper was eventually arrested, after apparently ignoring several warnings to calm down from Police.
Police say their investigation found Copper to be at fault in the accident, and that he had rode into the side of the vehicle with his bike. He was then charged criminally with disorderly conduct, and a traffic citation with illegally being in the roadway. He was later released pending trial.
