Dover parolee arrested on drug charges during probation check

Police say a curfew check in Dover, led to the discovery of more than 100 baggies of heroin.
The Dover Police Department says on Wednesday just after 11:00 PM, their Safe Streets Unit went to a home on North Edgehill Avenue to do a curfew check on 30-year-old Monte Jackson. He is currently on Level 3 Community Supervision through Delaware Probation and Parole.
During the check, Officers reportedly found 130 bags of heroin, totaling 1.95 grams, along with $2,050 cash, numerous narcotic packaging items, a digital scale, and a “scoop spoon.” Police say there were also two small children inside the home, during the check.
Jackson was arrested, and charged with possession with intent to deliver heroin, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of a tier 1 quantity of heroin, 2 counts of endangering the welfare of a child, and violation of probation. He is now being held at the James T. Vaughn Correctional Center in default of $10,000 cash bond.
