Chik-Fil-A’s Big Donation to HALO

The HALO Center of Hope received a very generous donation from Chik-Fil-A. Mr. and Mrs. Gibson, the owners of the Salisbury location, have been very helpful towards HALO. Not only have they donated meals that included those mouthwatering signature waffle fries, but they recently gave HALO their seating arrangements from their restaurant free of charge.
Darin Saulsbury, The Food Service Coordinator of HALO, was thrilled for this upgrade. He felt that the original seating resembled institutionalized seating, but because of the new booths, he says the people feel more comfortable and at home.
47 ABC was told that the original cafeteria tables and chairs at HALO would seat up to 90 people, and now they are able to fit over 100 people comfortably.
Cassandra VanCleve, a resident of HALO shared that she was absolutely astounded by the beautiful dining room sets. She stated “anything that can boost your spirit when you are in this situation, its a blessing from not only god but from the establishment that donated it.”
Along with the spacious tables, booths, and chairs, Chik-Fil- A also gave HALO tray stocking areas and trash cans.
