Big 4th Powers Sussex Tech Baseball Past Newark

The Sussex Tech baseball team pulled out a 9-7 win over Newark Thursday afternoon after a big 5 run 4th innings. The win improves the Ravens to 6-1.

Tech would strike first, after plating 3 runs in the bottom of the first.  The lead would hold til the 4th where the Yellow Jackets would plate 4 runs to take the lead. That’s when the Ravens would respond to take control of the game. They would plate 5 runs in the bottom of the frame, highlighted by a Brad Dryden 2 run homer to left. The Yellow Jackets would score 2 more runs in the 5th to get close, but the Ravens would close the door for the win. Trent Hearn would finish 1-3 for 2 runs and 2 RBI’s in the win, while Kyle Lux would also go 1-3, with 2 runs and 2 RBI’s.
