Bicyclist struck on Route 13

Salisbury Police say a bicyclist could be facing charges after he was hit by a vehicle on Wednesday night. Police say a man was traveling north on Route 13 in Salisbury just outside Courtesy Chevrolet Cadillac when he was struck by a vehicle also traveling north.

Police report the man was in dark clothing and did not have adequate lighting on his bicycle when he was struck. Police say the man riding the bicycle could face motor vehicle charges for inadequate lighting. He was reportedly taken to the hospital for non life-threatening injuries, and police say the driver did not sustain any injuries, and will not likely face any charges.
