Bennett Softball’s Hot Start Downs Decatur

The Bennett softball team exploded for 7 early runs as they took down Stephen Decatur 18-8 on Thursday. The win improves the Clippers to 10-1, while the loss drops the Seahawks to 5-9.

Bennett went straight to work in the bottom of the first as the bats were red hot to open the game. The Clippers would score several runs highlights by a 3 RBI single from Angel Adkins. The Seahawks would try and fight their way back after Jade would rip a shot into left field for an RBI single. But the Clippers continued to pour it on, as they would hold on for the win.

Bennett returns to the field Monday when they travel to play Pocomoke, while the Seahawks return to action Monday when they host WiHi.
