Another illegal gun taken off streets of Dover, one behind bars

Police in Dover say for the third time this week, they have seized an illegal handgun.
The Dover Police Department says their Drugs, Vice, and Organized Crime Unit and their Safe Streets Unit arrested 24-year-old Ezekiel Benson, with a handgun. Officials say the units were conducting a drug investigation on West Division Street just before 3:55 PM, on Wednesday.
Investigators reportedly found a 9mm handgun, 29mm magazines, 24 rounds of 9mm ammunition, 4.3 grams of crack cocaine, and $580 in cash, on Benson.
He was charged with possession of firearm during commission of a felony, possession of firearm by person prohibited, possession of ammunition by person prohibited, carrying concealed deadly weapon, possession with intent to deliver crack cocaine, possession of drug paraphernalia, resisting arrest, and possession of firearm obliterated serial number.
Benson is now behind bars at James T. Vaughn Correctional Center on a $131,200 cash bond.
