12 Runs In 7th Powers Bennett Softball Past Pocomoke

The James M. Bennett softball team traveled down to Pocomoke Monday and came away with a 18-0 win. The win improves the Clippers to 12-1, while the loss drops the Warriors to 4-10.
Bennett would strike first in the second after getting an RBI base knocks from Chyenne Harvill and a sac fly from Anna Malone. The Warriors would then get out of the inning thanks to a couple strike outs from Olivia Hancock. The Clippers would hold on to their 5-0 lead through 5th thanks to superb pitching from Kasey Donalds. The Clippers would take a 6-0 lead into the top of the 7th, where their bats would catch fire, plating 12 runs to blow the game wide open.
Pocomoke returns to action Wednesday when they host Wicomico High School, while Bennett returns to the field Tuesday when they travel to play at Mardela.
