Warriors’ Big Second Half Lifts Them To Blowout Win Over Snow Hill

The Pocomoke boy’s basketball team outscored Snow Hill 58-24 in the second half on the way to a 102-51 win, advancing to the 1A East Section II regional final.

In an ugly first half, both teams struggled to keep the ball, turning it over possession after possession. The sloppy play benefitted Snow Hill, who got as close as 9 in the second quarter, still at the break, Pocomoke sported a 44-27 lead.

The second half saw the Warriors wake up, getting out in transition and stepping up on defense as they’ve done all season long. Pocomoke went on a 21-6 run mid-way thru the third quarter, pushing their lead to 65-33. In the end the lead would swell, with bench players playing the fourth. Pocomoke had five players in double figures, with Trevon Brown posting a game-high 17. Takhai Wise scored a team-high 14 for Snow Hill.

The Warriors will host the Section II regional final, taking on Washington for the third time this year. Both teams won at the other’s home floor earlier this year.
