UPDATE: Flu season restrictions lifted at PRMC

A local hospital has lifted their flu restrictions, making patients easier to visit.
Peninsula Regional Medical Center says starting on Monday, March 16th, they are cancelling the modified visitor policy, that restricted some visitors from the premises.
Officials say visitors to the hospital, including Labor & Delivery and Mother/Baby units, will now be back to the Flexible Visitation Policy, allowing visits whenever is most convenient.
Back in January, PRMC changed their visitor policy, banning anyone under the age of 18 to visit patients, along with those experiencing any flu symptoms. There was also a limit of two visitors at a time per patient.
The Medical Center is still asking those with cold, cough, fever or other flu-like symptoms, to stay home, and visit when they’re feeling better.
