UPDATE: Dover robbery suspect in custody

Police say they have arrested a man that they have linked to the robbery of two women and a baby in an area parking lot.

Dover Police say on Wednesday morning around 8:00 AM, Officers arrested Matthew Gannon at the bus station at Queen Street and Water Street, without incident.

Gannon stands accused of approaching a car with two women, and an 11-month-old baby inside in the parking lot of of the Dover Library. He then apparently put a handgun to the driver’s side, and fled with her wallet.

Gannon was wanted on charges, including 1st degree robbery, possession of a deadly weapon during commission of felony, aggravated menacing, conspiracy 2nd degree, and endangering the welfare of a child. Bond information for Gannon was not immediately available.
