UMES Snaps 41 Year Postseason Drought

The University of Maryland Eastern Shore men’s basketball team earned a bid to the College Insider Tournament, snapping a streak of 41 consecutive years without going to the postseason. The Hawks will travel to play High Point on Wednesday at 7 pm.
UMES wrapped up their conference tournament with a tough loss to Hampton to drop to 18-14 on the year. The 18 wins are the most for the program since 1974. High Point enters the postseason with a 22-9 overall record, after finishing second in the Big South Conference. The Panthers are making their third consecutive trip to the postseason, but have yet to record their programs first postseason win.
