Two arrested on harrassment charges in Milford

Two Milford residents were arrested on Saturday, after they apparently tried to start a fight, and spit in someone’s food in a local parking lot.

Milford Police say 31-year-old Antoine Sturgis and 33-year-old Jessica Renner followed a 42-year-old man into a parking lot on NE Front Street, and tried to start a fight with him. The man apparently avoided the altercation, but the two kept following him, yelling and cursing. Police say Sturgis tried to throw a punch at the victim, but missed. Sturgis also apparently spit on the food that the victim was carrying.

Sturgis and Renner were both apparently drunk during the altercation. They were both arrested, and charged with harrassment, conspiracy 3rd degree, disorderly conduct, and public intoxication.

Sturgis was released on $1,210 bond, while Renner was ordered to be held at the Baylor Women’s Correctional Institution on $1,251 bond.
