Two arrested after two fights at Harrington Super 8

Police in Harrington say Officers responded to two different fights overnight, at the Super 8 Motel on South DuPont Boulevard.

Officers with the Harrington Police Department say around 3:30 AM on Thursday, while on patrol, a 23-year-old woman contacted them, saying that she had been punched in the mouth during a fight with 40-year-old Tonya Carroll, of Camden. Police say the victim had minor injuries to her face. Carroll was then taken into custody, given a criminal summons for offensive touching, and disorderly conduct, and released pending a future court date.

Police say later that morning, around 5:50 AM, Officers returned to the Super 8 for reports of another fight. Once on scene, Police reportedly found that  a 40-year-old woman, and 35-year-old Brianne Paitsel, of Magnolia, were arguing in the parking lot. According to the report, Paitsel fled from the argument in her vehicle, and in the process, ran into the victim, injuring her foot.

The victim was taken to Milford Memorial Hospital for treatment. Police say they were able to talk with Paitsel on the phone, and she later turned herself in.

She was charged with vehicular assault 3rd degree, and driving with a suspended or revoked license. Paitsel was also apparently wanted out of Sussex County Family Court for failure to appear for a child support hearing. She was given a $1,500 unsecured bond on the vehicular assault charge and driving with a suspended or revoked license charges, and a $1,000 cash bond for the capias, which she later posted, and was released pending a future court appearance.
