Troopers investigate home invasion in Dover

State troopers are investigating a home invasion at the Alder Park Apartments early Saturday morning.
Police say around 5:35 Saturday, a 911 call was placed by a resident who says he had been asleep in his bedroom when he was abruptly woken up by a banging at his door. When the 31-year-old victim exited his bedroom and entered the kitchen, a gunshot was reportedly heard and the door was pushed open. According to authorities, two suspects briefly entered the apartment but then fled without any items. Investigators tell 47 ABC, the two suspects reportedly ran toward the rear of the complex.
The male victim was uninjured in the incident.
Police describe the suspects as black males, between 5’07”-5’09” tall and 140-150 pounds. One suspect was wearing a dark jacket and light blue jeans. There was no clothing description given for the second suspect.
According to police, one of the males was possibly armed with an unknown type shotgun.
