SU Women’s Lacrosse Downs Brockport St.

The No. 13 Salisbury University women’s lacrosse team defeated Brockport St. 9-3 Tuesday afternoon. The win improves the Sea Gulls to 3-2 on the year.

The teams would be in a battle the first half. Tied at 2-2, Kara O’Rourke would find the back of the net with :07 seconds left in the half to give the Gulls a 3-2 lead. The lead was due in large part to the incredible play between the pipes from freshman keeper Gianna Falcone who finished with a career high 12 saves. The Eagles would come back to tie up the game at 3-3 in the second half, but that seemed to wake up the home team. Salisbury would score 5 straight to close out the game, including 2 goals from Hannah Young.

Salisbury returns to action Friday when they travel to play Southern Virginia.
