SU Softball Remains Undefeated At Home This Season

The Salisbury University women’s softball team has just one loss on the season, which was on the road, keeping their winning streak at home, perfect. SU hosted a double-header on Sunday afternoon looking to keep that unbeaten streak on Gull territory alive.

Salisbury’s star pitcher, Rachel Johnson hit the mound today — she has been phenomenal all season long, but the Depauw Tigers figured out how to get a piece of the ball early. The Gulls bats were quiet until the bottom of the fourth inning – runners on 2nd and 3rd – when Paige Knussman knocks one out of the park – a three-run shot to left field – taking a 4-2 lead.

SU would only allow two more runs throughout the rest of the day — winning the first game, 6-3 and also taking the second game, 6-1.
