SU Softball Double-Header Results In Two Wins
The Salisbury University softball team partook in a double-header on Sunday afternoon and walked away with two wins.
Cortland State Red Dragons (1-0 Win)
Star pitcher Rachel Johnson pitched a no hitter and was just one walk away from throwing a perfect game. The game was scoreless until the bottom of the 6th inning when the Gulls got things going. Molly Simpson with the RBI single bringing in Kim Dorsey for the go ahead and winning run. The Gulls held on for the win, 1-0.
TCNJ (12-1, 5 inning Win)
The second game took place directly after the finish of the 1-0 victory over the Cortland State Red Dragons. This time it was Annah Brittingham who took the mound and had an impressive 10-strike-out performance herself. The Gulls took this one with ease – taking a 6-0 lead in the first – leading to a slaughter-rule win 12-1 in just 5 innings.
The Gulls take the wins and keep their season moving in a great direction.
