SU Men’s Lacrosse Shuts Down Mary Washington
The Salisbury University men’s lacrosse team jumped in rankings this past week to the number 15 spot after two big wins last week. The Gulls looked to continue the momentum Saturday afternoon taking on Mary Washington at home.
The Gulls came out strong in the first quarter, shutting out the Eagles while putting away four goals of their own to take the 4-0 lead in the first quarter alone. Mary Washington was able to hold SU to just one goal in the second quarter, but it wasn’t long before the top-ranked Gulls found the back of the net.
The Eagles tried to chip away at the score, but the fourth quarter belonged to the Gulls notching another 4 goals in the last 15 minutes of the game.
The Gulls get the win at home over the Eagles, 11-4, winning their fourth-straight game. SU men’s lacrosse is back at home this Wednesday taking on, number 3, Stevenson at 7 pm.
