SU Baseball Downs York In Double-Header

The Salisbury baseball team hosted a double-header taking on conference foe, York, on Saturday afternoon. The Gulls got things started quickly in game number one and continued to stay hot throughout the day.

During the first game, SU was scoreless through the first inning, but really picked things up in the bottom of the fourth. Jordan Gowe was making big plays in the outfield and also at home plate. He had a base-clearing RBI in the bottom of the fourth along with an RBI double in the bottom of the third inning as well. SU took the first game with ease – 7-1.

The Spartans were no match for the Gulls on Saturday – in fact, the second game mirrored the first game with a one run difference – a 7-2 victory for SU.
