Snow Hill Survives North Dorchester In Overtime

The Snow Hill boys basketball team defeated North Dorchester 68-65 in overtime to advance in the state tournament. The Eagles will now play Pocomoke while North Dorchester’s season comes to an end.

The teams would be in a battle late tied before Daquan Johnson would then get a steal for North Dorchester and take it the other way to give his team the lead. Manny Pinkney would take one right to the cup and draw a foul, connecting on the free throws with under 15 second to play to tie the game up. They would head to overtime. There Dajon Pittman would go to work down low to give North Dorchester the early lead. The Eagles would battle back though and a crucial play would change the whole complexion of the game. Snow Hill would turn the ball over at mid court but get a steal right back, leading to an and one finish by Chaudre Johnson. After North Dorchester got back within 1, Snow Hill would connect on a full court prayer pass to Johnson for another lay in to make it a 3 point game with 5 second left. Daquan Johnson would let one fly from mid court for North Dorchester but it was off the mark, as Snow Hill would hold on for the win.
